Quite fascinating, particularly the start contrast between British Airways (#1) and Virgin (#20).

With all its problems I would say that the power of its brand is the only thing that BA has left.

Despite being an almost iconic brand, I can also see why Virgin is down the bottom since I'm not sure how much of a draw the Virgin name is when it comes to customers handing over cash.

Personally I would put Ryanair at the top - love it or loath it, they have done a great job at using every trick available to make the brand synonymous with value, to the extent that people not only tolerate, but flock to the product.

Thanks Mark,

Just to clarify the list is in alphabetical order not brand strength.

Wholeheartedly agree with comments about Ryanair though and using every available trick!

I am shocked that BA still have the good name required to get into this list. I have never had a positive experience any of the times I have flown with them, and it is not at all unsual to have customers asking me to avoid giving them BA flights because they never ever want to fly with them again.

People complain about Ryanairs customer service but at least they're cheap. BA's customer service (in my experience) is just as bad, but it costs a lot more than even a half decent airline. And for what? A TV in the back of a seat. Big whoop.

Then, to add insult to injury, BA get given sole use of Terminal 5. Why should MY tax money have gone into helping out a company I don't even like????

Charles - thanks for your comments. Let us know who you would rather see in the Top 20??

BM Group - They are very popular in UK, Ireland, Scotland and all Europe, an only tour operator in the UK with 4 international tour lisences, the said coach company is offering complete travel, tours, holidays service, airport pickup and airport transfer and so on,
