Travolution has a good story in the bag but embargoed for publication until midnight tonight.
In the meantime, can readers guess which UK High Street retailer is launching an online travel offering?

I guess WHSmith
They have 500 high street shops - and 120 at airports, train stations and motorway service areas.
The WHSmith near me (in Southampton) has, in conjunction with the post office, opened a Bureau de Change.
I would say that with the 120 shops at all the travel points they could make quite a good offering.
But you said "online travel" (rather than online transport) so maybe I am wrong. (Travel is decommoditised transport)
2nd guess - La Senza
I guess Argos.
They are very geared to online already and I suspect are better placed in the market to weather economic storms than some others. Plus they have the Home Retail Group thing behind them, the UK’s leading home and general merchandise retailer, so this could fit with that nicely.
Maybe they'll dump Homebase and do travel instead :-)
@alex and @vicky - very good, but keep guessing... :-)
Probably M&S, I have heard they are trying to diversify their revenue...
Otherwise, I would follow Alex's suggestion as a 2nd guess with maybe Victoria Secrets
Keep guessing everyone... :-)
some good answers so far.
I guess Poundland :)
I guess Poundland ;) in these impoverished times these types of business tend to prosper....
If not them then probably Debenhams.
Could it be that a high street supermarket mega-brand who already has a (poorly positioned) white label offering from a notable OTA, a prominent insurance comparison site, a killer strapline for cost conscious consumers and who has a sizeable TV marketing budget has decided to switch models and take on Travelsupermarket with a meta offering???
Could it be Tesco?
Michael: a good suggestion, but wrong, alas.
Cheeky treatment of embargoed news; but quite fun, so my guess is Sainsbury's.
@dan g - i told the company in question i was going to do it and they had no problem with it. PR value means that people will be looking out for the story tomorrow.
good suggestions so far.
@Michael Rhodes - ha ha.. excellent.
If my guess wasn't going to be one of the banks, then perhaps...... um.. Dehanhams?
This, er, cutting edge quiz is now closed:
The answer is now disclosed here...
